Working knowledge of the requirements for the safe operation of conveyor systemsĮxcel, Outlook, Word and working knowledge of WMS principlesĮxcellent command of the English language, both verbally and written Strong knowledge of DC operations, including system interfaces, inventory reporting, storage methods and material flow Other duties as required and directed by the Inventory Control Manager Maintain all Occupational Health & Safety Act safety standards, including all reporting of accidents, injuries, damages and potential threats to safetyĭocument and review with the Inventory Control Manager and the onsite HR Manager any employee conduct problems for possible disciplinary action Manage the collection, reporting and required feedback regarding labour management standards Most especially this role will require effective interaction with Operations and Customer Service to ensure inventory-related issues are identified and resolved quickly and correctly Interact with other DC departments as needed to ensure that communication is timely and relevant and the flow of information between departments meets the needs of all. Utilize lead hands effectively to assist with the efficient and safe operation of the department and to ensure that required administrative tasks are completed on a timely and accurate basis Provide recommendations for continuous process improvement Strive to create a positive work environment that engages and motivates associatesĮnsure that all required department functions are completed on a timely basis, such that daily business goals and customer requirements are met Emphasis should be placed on providing balanced feedback, taking care to acknowledge good performance as well as identifying areas for improvement Special emphasis should be placed on ensuring that all staff are properly trained and supervised in the functions they will be completing during their shiftĬonduct daily briefing meetings with department staff prior to start of shift to communicate expectations for the work to be completed and any special projects or circumstances they need to be aware ofĬommunicate effectively and manage performance on an individual level with all staff in the department, both informally and formally, using the company-provided resources including, but not limited to, performance evaluation tools and labour management reporting. Maintain a current and thorough understanding of all SOP’s relating to the operation of the department Maintain a safe working environment by following established health and safety policies and procedures
